Q + A

Where is the wedding taking place?

The ceremony will take place behind our house, in our 'backyard'. The reception space will be a short walk through the orchard and up a small hill, about 200 meters. It will be tented. Both events will be taking place on grass so please choose footwear accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin at 3:30 pm. If you plan on attending the ceremony, please arrive before 3:00 pm because parking/valet will take some time.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

If you would like to honour us with a gift, you can bring it on the day of the wedding. A wedding card box will also be at our reception. Our registry can be found on the Registry tab of this website. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for!

How do I RSVP?

Please visit the RSVP tab of the website and include your information before July 20, 2024.

Is there a dress code?

The dress code is formal. Please keep in mind that there is no flooring other than the dancefloor, so we will be on the grass all day and evening. This should be considered when choosing footwear.

Where should I park?

There will be designated parking on the farm. There will be signs that you can follow and our ushers can help guide you to the parking area. Please do not park in the laneway or on the main road.

Will the elderly have to walk to the venue?

A car/van will be available for those who cannot walk from the ceremony to the reception. The reception space is a 200-meter walk from the ceremony area through the grass.

What happens if it rains?

The ceremony will be relocated under the large tent that's meant for the reception. We will hold the ceremony and reception in this space if it rains (please pray that it doesn't rain).

Where can I stay?

There are two hotel options for our guests. Please see the Travel tab of the website for more information.

Can I camp on the farm?

Absolutely! Camping is welcome. Feel free to bring your camper or RV as well. There will be a designated camping area on the farm the day of the wedding.

Has transportation been arranged?

There will be a shuttle available as an end-of-the-evening option for those staying at the wedding-selected hotels. The pickup times will be: 12:00 am and 1:30 am.

Can I take an Uber or a cab?

Ubers and cabs are few and far between in the country. You may be able to catch one if someone happens to be in the area but there's no guarantee. If you're going to drink, your best bet is to use the Shuttle Service that we will provide. The Shuttle service will only take guests to the Blue Mountain Village and Collingwood Comfort Inn but you'll have more luck catching a cab from those hotels. The shuttle will pick up guests at 12:00 am and 1:30 am.

Will food be served?

Yes, a buffet-style dinner will begin at 6:30 pm.

How can I let you know about my dietary restrictions?

Dinner will be buffet style. There will be a meat, fish and vegetarian option. If you have allergies, please include it in the RSVP portion of the website so that we can relay it to the caterers.

Are children invited?

Yes.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes.

Are there any local places you’d recommend I visit while I’m in town?

The Blue Mountains, Thornbury and Collingwood are filled with so many exhilirating experiences, especially in the summer/fall months. We'd recommend visiting the Apple Pie Trail to learn more about what there is to do in the region. This self-guided tour will introduce you to farm tours, cideries, vineyards, river paddling, great eats and more. You may even see some recognizable faces on the website: www.applepietrail.ca
